In this Curiosity Lab, Dr. Muhoza, a member of the SSP International faculty, draws on his experience evaluating computational methods across multiple stages of the drug discovery pipeline. Grounded in his work targeting Ras-related proteins to reduce metastasis in triple-negative breast cancer, he will discuss how protein structure prediction, genomics, and molecular design are applied in protein-based and small-molecule discovery.

The session will conclude with a technical assessment of recent successful and failed discovery programs, examining how AI-assisted approaches contributed in practice, where they fell short, and which emerging AI-enabled strategies are most likely to drive the next phase of therapeutic development.
