Pacific Bacterial Genomics July 6th: Free Day with Extended Boundaries
Hi everyone! My name is Esther and I will be writing today’s blog! Today, we had extended boundaries from 9am to 12pm, which was exciting because our last morning time period for extended boundaries was 8 to 8:30!! I was super excited to be outside all morning but I ended up waking up at 8am and bedrotting for 2 hours…haha…..
Anyways I got my life together and decided to go get breakfast with Jackie at 10:30 am! (we both spent the entire morning sleeping and bedrotting)
After we successfully got our matchas, we ran into my girls Anna and Charlie and of course, our fav Sivaank.( free donuts!!!!!)
Then we walked into some beautiful music by our musicians Timothy and Alexis in the dorm! (btw tim this is not nonchalant)
Then it was already time for lunch with my favorite people!!!
After lunch, I went to the study hall area to finish up some work and also grind college list/apps! Because AP scores come out tomorrow, I feel like (sadly) there were many people stressed about scores and college in general today…My friends and I had serious conversations about college and our future today, and although the stress is real, I was grateful that I had genuine friends that were so encouraging and supportive <3 (Thank you SSP for allowing me to meet these intelligent and inspiring people that motivate me every day)
Now for dinner! I was starving and was very excited for this meal. Of course Jackie had her usual three different drinks of milk, lemonade, and coke.
Food was so buss and all I remember from our table today was that we kept laughing because of how crazy and funny Jackie was! We also talked about AP scores (sadly lol), Brian’s cracked brother, and the spiciness of the chicken today. Today was our last day together at the same dinner table and I was sad….I’m gonna miss you guys….
Then after that I tutored my brother through facetime and saw the cutest cat I’ve ever seen on the way back to the dorm. Xime please teach me your ways I also want cats to like me…..
At the dorm, I ended the day by talking with Katya!! It was so fun dropping lore and getting many insights about college life! Before we knew it, it was already 11pm and time for bed.
Overall, I would say today was a very therapeutic and eventful day. Although it was a “free day,” I think today was just as valuable as any other day at SSP and blogging it has really made me realize that.
That’s it for the blog today! Thanks for reading, and see you next time!
