Take Me Out to the Ball Game
Hi everyone!
Amy reporting for duty. As a proud Griffindor and member of the best lab group (bAbEZ). I’m very bittersweetly going to recount Cell Biology’s last field trip. But first! Today was Emilio’s 18th birthday! So please wish him a belated birthday. My day started with breakfast at Milagro’s which I shared with friends. The crepe was extra yummy:
After our cute coffee date we went with Lil’ K formally known as TA Kelvin to find Daniel’s lost dorm key. We were very unsuccessful. As we walked dejectedly back to the dorms we were informed the power mysteriously cut off across campus. So, we just stayed in the student center until the field trip.
Our first stop was Cielo Vista Mall where I did no actual shopping and only got food. I picked up mochi donuts and matcha with Amanda and Jackie; as you can tell from the photo it was amazing. Afterwards we shared Chick-fil-a on the bus as we headed to a Walmart run and the ballgame.
Finally we made our way to the Southwest Baseball Stadium where I watched my first game. Emilio got to throw the ceremonial starting ball and we all cheered him on from the rafters. Honestly I didn’t find the landslide win very interesting but the company made it a lot better. What I’ve realized about these field trips is that the actual events are never as fun as the fact that you get to hang out with friends through the whole thing. As the last person to write a blog before the cycle restarts I’d like to say this has been one fun Summer.
Cheers to the rest of SSP!
Amy D.
