Day 25 – Tempus Fugit

Today marks Day 25 of the SSP Cell Biology program, and also the restart of blog rotation. Time really flies 😎

Yesterday was a vibe — we went to a baseball game (my very first one!), and I’m so glad I got to spend it with friends 🥰 Leshi took photos for us, and from what I’ve seen, they look amazing! And guess what? Ms. Kenjura dropped some pictures in the group chat, and… I saw myself and my friends on the stadium screen while we prayed not to get on there🙂‍↕️.

Also, the NMSU dining hall was closed yesterday. So we’ve been grabbing breakfast at a bagel shop called Einstein Bros, and honestly, the bagels there are 10x better than the dining hall food😏

In the afternoon, we had an amazing guest speaker — Dr. Nsa Dada. She talked about her journey in science and her current research. But what really blew my mind? Apparently, mosquitoes biting me isn’t because of my blood type 🙂‍↔️ It’s due to other factors I never even considered. I was genuinely shocked 🥲

Later in the evening, after we were done with lab, I went on our daily walk with Uncle Kelvin Sakyi and Amanda. But before that, we took some… let’s just say questionable but iconic photos 😂 and of course, we also caught some absolutely stunning shots of the sky. The sunsets here are unreal.

Oh and HUGE shoutout to Kelvin’s Spotify playlist — every song hits. Like, how can he have such good music taste??? 🥹

That’s all I have, is a pretty normal and fun day.
