Blog 6/29 – Sunday Chronicles: Double Trouble- Rivers and Pools!

Sunday. The one day when sleep is allowed to happen. We slept until noon.

Immediately, the day started with a win! Lennox beat 2048 early doors!

However, not everything was sunshine and rainbows… literally— the day was forecasted to be rainy. But since when would that stop the almighty SSPers? We split up into two groups– one going on a walk and one going to the tennis court!

As soon as we arrived at the tennis court, it started raining(DAMN 🤑), so we played tennis and pickled in the rain (it felt good for sure), which went away as quickly as it came.

Wet from the rain and exhausted from the heat, we were thinking of going back to the dorm or maybe catching up with the river people, not until CHRIS (YOUNG JIT 🤑) and Yuegelica (YOUNG JIT 🤑2) found the pool.

With the lifeguards there, we were HOPING we could go in.

In fact, they said we COULD GO IN AND ENJOY POOL!

We played like YOUNG JIT (in fact, there were many ants in the pool, but we were alright with it).

We dragged Aidan into the pool by grabbing his legs and pulling him down. We also called a river group to join in and played together (except for TRAFIM). We played water volleyball too! Before we left, we also played Marco Polo. Rithwik (more like Rizzwik) couldn’t get anyone for the first 5 minutes.

Back to the walk Gang–

The walk to the river was wonderful. Wonderfully hot. After a lot of sweat, sweat, and sweat, we finally made it to the little river that ran by a nearby park. And here, the walking around, throwing of sticks and logs into the river, and coming up with rap lyrics commenced.

The boys after tossing half of the local forest into the river:

MC Abhi, an up and coming rapper:

Soon we started to head back… when we noticed that Chris finally got his symbolic cookout– a barbecue that happened in 1825!

Additionally, we also caught a glimpse of a baby deer!

Finally back at GCSU, we were excited to go to the A&S to watch a movie recommended by Sankalp– Three Idiots! However, before we could do anything such, we had to have a dorm meeting. A dorm meeting to which ETHAN was late to by 20 minutes! SMH.

In the end, the movie was worth the wait. Highly recommend.

Absolute Cinema fr.

This is really ssp at its finest.
