SWOSU Day 20: Field Trip Day!

Hi everyone! I’m Rezaan and today was our 20th day here at swosu! I also got to wake up a bit later today than normal (8:30 instead of 7:45) because today – if you could guess from the title – was our field trip day!! We started the day off at the Stafford Air and Space Museum, where we got to do a scavenger hunt (which no one actually did I think…at least I didn’t) and look at the super cool model rockets and actual rockets from both the US and the Soviet Union during the Space Race.

After the museum we went right next door to the park, ate some turkey sandwiches, and got to play in the playground.

After that we were ahead of schedule and went to make our long awaited Walmart trip early! I considered buying an entire cookie cake, but I decided that was probably a little too much. I still ended up buying a total of 3 cookie boxes (1 chocolate chip and 2 oatmeal creme pies), as well as mini muffins, a hat, and sunglasses!

Then we drove like 20 minutes over to Crowder Lake, which is owned by swosu! The lake was the highlight of the day (at least I thought so!): we got to kayak, tan, and chill on the dock and listen to music. My friend Andy and I kayaked the entire lake and it took like an hour or two of constant paddling. I can already start to feel my arms becoming sore and I’m a little scared for tomorrow. Also literally before I sat down on the kayak my half was already soaked with water so I basically sat in a water pool the whole time and got all my clothes wet but that’s ok. After we finished our kayaking expedition we joined everyone else on the dock, sat and tanned (maybe burned for some of us) while listening to music.

We ended the day eating dominos and getting a nice surprise from Dr. Hubin that inorganic lab was cancelled to give us more time to work on our papers.

I had a lot of fun today and now I’m going to watch the newly released Squid Games part and then go to sleep! I hope you enjoyed today’s blog!
