SWOSU Day 28: Oklahomies?
I woke up at 7:40, took a shower, got dressed and jogged to the CPP (7:58). Unfortunately, I didn’t have any Froot Loops from Duke’s Diner, so I thugged this one out. In the lab, I got to work up my crystals, adding the ooey-gooey crystal oil to the re-labeled crystallization vials to preserve everything. I think the JJJ group probably had the nicest looking crystals, but ours weren’t half bad. After lab, we got to select where we wanted to go for lunch: Braum’s with Ca-Dot(Like K-Dot)., Wendy’s with Amoghie, and Quiznos with Ry-Dog. I chose Quiznos, and youre wondering what that is, it’s a sandwich place (better than subway, worse than jersy mikes, 8/10). I got the mesquite sandwich with jalapeno cheddar bread (cashier said it was good; he was right). I washed it down with goldpeak iced tea and then we headed back, but first we had to make a pitstop at Braum’s. After Braum’s I took a scroll break and then a nap (=SUM(2+3)). One Red Bull later, I started working up my UV/Vis Spectrum data. Meanwhile, Allyson, Gavin, Avneesh and Andy went over to Ms. Latus’s crib (AirBNB) to cook up a taco dinner, which was amazing. I indulged in 4 tacos, with the rice, chicken, beans, red salsa, cheese and hot sauce. And watermelon. And grape Kool-Aid. We then had our Oklahomies social, which was fun. I played pickleball, and then Pollyball (which was pickleball with a volleyball), since we only had 2 paddles. Then Ehtan and I went on a run (4 miles), which was fun, and we got to talk a little about how grateful we are to have this opportunity at SSP. Then we visited the friendship-bracelet making station, where we saw Vincent “denigrate” bracelet (pretty iconic- Wynter). I had some leftover pink lemonade using the TA ice (sorry). Me and Ethan worked on creating our puppet masterpiece, Dwayne the Sock Johnson (more on that later). It’s 2:18 AM, so I’m gonna go to sleep now.
